报告标题 Wear Characteristics of Friction Stir Tools in Processing Aluminum-Fly Ash Composites
报告摘要 Tool wear is a key issue for the friction stir processing (FSP) of aluminum matrix composites (AMCs), especially when the weight fraction of reinforcing particulates is relatively high. In this study, ADC6 aluminum alloy + 5 wt% fly ash composite was respectively subjected to friction stir processing at rotation of 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 rpm, in which threaded frustum tools of W6Mo5CR4V4 high speed steel (S690) and SKD61 steel were used to investigate the tool wear at 30 mm/min constant traverse speed. Experimental results indicate that the tool at high rotation of 2500 and 3000 rpm, SKD61 suffered extreme wear than S690. However, a more dramatic feature was the tool wear of SKD61 tended to resemble with S690 tool wear at 2000 rpm. Although sound, SKD61 steel had greatest wear, when the rotation declined at 2000 and 1500 rpm, SKD61 and S690 tool wear observed become small or near cessation. The studied results reveal that under 2000rpm of rotation, SKD61 steel tool is the best choice for FSP to processing AMCs due to higher cost of S690 and difficult to machining.
报告人简介 莊水旺,博士,从事压铸模具设计与制造、铸造模流分析、铸件缺陷改善、制造业自动化规划等研究工作。现任国立台湾海洋大学    机械与机电工程学系副教授、产学技转中心主任、先进制造工程研究中心主任,台湾铸造学会常务理事,台湾区模具工业同业公会模具发展策略咨询委员。目前的研究课题包括:使用飞灰作为强化材之铝基复合材料、压铸多段低速射出优化曲线之开发、铸造件之拓朴优化设计、压铸模具铸造方案之智能化设计。
