报告标题 Selected in-situ Copper matrix composite
报告摘要 Advanced electrical components require the development and fabrication of large quantities of copper matrix composites which possesses both high strength and high electrical conductivity (usually expressed as a % of IACS, International Annealed Copper Standard, where 100%IACS=1.7241cm). This combination of properties can be obtained by the codeformation of a variety of materials in the form of as solidified composites. A number of these materials have strength levels close to the high strength steels and thus require detailed consideration of the mechanisms of strengthening which are obtained by casting, and operative in materials with ultra-fine scale microstructures. Such ultra-fine scale microstructures in the final application form need precursor materials with fine-scaled structure produced by solidifications. In addition, consideration must be given to the development of rational systems of design for the selection and fabrication of materials for use in electrical industries. In this paper, we will review selected Cu matrix in-situ composite and discuss the impact of solidification on both strength and conductivity of the final products.
